Paul Dana plans to be back on the track in IndyCar Series testing today in Arizona.The 30-year-old native of St. Louis Was introduced Monday as the third driver for Rahal Letterman Racing by co-owner Bobby Rahal. Teaming with Danica Patrick and Buddy Rice, Dana will drive the No. 17 car that will be sponsored by Ethanol.He Was with Hemelgarn Racing in the 2005 season but drove in only three races before being sidelined by injuries incurred in practice for the Indianapolis 500.He says he will be driving a car for the first time today in the first of two days of tests at Phoenix International Raceway.“I’m excited to be with a top team … I feel strong and mentally clear. I have a great opportunity and hope to make the most of it,” he said in a teleconference.The 2006 season begins in March with all cars being powered by Honda engines for the first time. All also will have fuel with a 10-percent ethanol blend — it will be 100 percent in 2007.Other drivers who plan to test in Arizona are Scott Dixon and 2006 Indy 500 and IndyCar Series champ Dan Wheldon, who had been with Andretti Green Racing.Marco - More available
