But Ryan Haywood's Aces started the climactic period on a 12-2 run and eventually caught up at 59 with :49 left when junior Caleb Knepper's 3-pointer from the left side hit the front of the rim, then the back, before swishing through the net.The Tigers held for One final shot, which Hatten delivered with just over :02 left. After the bucket, Mt. Carmel quickly called time-out. The clock ran all the way down to :00.1, but was reset to :01.9 for the Aces.Tiger junior Jon Kuenstler got a hand on MCHS' half-court pass to Knepper and batted it up in the air to preserve the Victory for Flanagan's squad.Tournament MVP Keane Thomann, the Tigers' 6-foot-10 sophomore center, recorded his third consecutive double-double in the championship game, going 9-for-11 from the field (and 2-for-4 from the line) for 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
