Nagin defends 'Chocolate City' reference - Times Picayune

Nagin explains 'Chocolate City' reference to CNN's Anderson CooperIn an interview with Mayor Ray Nagin on CNN's "360 Degrees" Friday night, Anderson Cooper asked the mayor, "Chocolate City -- what were you thinking?" Mayor Nagin responded in part by saying "You know, I'm African-American, OK? Just to kind of put that out there. It's part of our culture to talk about Chocolate cities."
