California real estate is red hot in 2004 and there is good reason. Interest rates are at all time lows and the job market is still relatively strong in most of California's major citites. Los Angeles Real Estate

Since the late 1990's, the Los Angeles real estate market has been booming. HUD forclosures, once an easy buy, were gobbled up by John Q. Homebuyer in an effort to find a deal on a place to live. Today, the areas like Santa Monica, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach have seen prices triple and quadruple over the past 7-8 years. And, Los Angeles income property is no different. Invesmtent real estate has ridden the wave as well. If you are looking to purchase real estate in Los Angeles, brace yourself.

San Diego Real Estate

Perhaps the biggest surprise to most Californians was the performance of San Diego real estate over the past 7-8 years. I would venture to guess that of all of California's real estate markets, San Diego has probably seen the biggest increase in property values, in every segment, over the last 10 years. San Diego has a great job market and arguably the best climate aside from the Hawaiian Islands.

Menlo Park Real Estate

Even up north in the Bay Area, places like Menlo Park have seen huge jumps in the price of real estate. The Menlo Park real estate market is not one that many people outside of northern California have heard of, but it is breaking records and people's bank accounts. I recently saw a 2 bedroom home, build in the early 60's, go for nearly $800K. That is what I call an out of control real estate market.
