My mother-in-law has them. So, when I was looking for a cool gift for my niece recently, I was told the hot ticket was a couple of Ashlee Simpson ringtones. So, after a little investigation, I managed to find a site that had some free ringtones and they sounded awesome. So, I figured I would post the site here because I am a big fan of free and those that provide things for free. Now I have to find something that I can pay for because I feel to guilty giving her something that I didn’t even have to pay for.

Need a sweet set of compact binoculars? How about these dope Konica / Minolta Activa bniocs. I just picked up a set of these and I am really happy with them. I am not sure what it was that attracted me to fast cars, but I was hooked the first time I learned about engines and cars. Since that time I have followed just about every major racing tour in the United States and many abroad. One of my favorite however has been the NASCAR Nextel Cup series. So, last year I had a big party for the final race of the series and figured I needed some race gear for my friends that were coming over. Well, I managed to find a bunch of great Nextel Cup hats and shirts that took everyone by surprise and made the party that much better. So, if you are going to go all-out this year watching NASCAR, then you better make sure you have yourself the right gear dawg.

I guess we have been super busy these days with other projects. That is not to take anything away from Zawow and its powerful shopping capabilities of course. One of the things that a lot of people have been asking about is eBay registration. It is funny, I guess I take it for granted that most people still do not have an eBay account or even know what eBay is all about. What it is about is great deals on just about any new product you want and it is also about finding just about anything you are looking for.

Obscure Products

One of the best things about eBay is that you can find just about anything for sale. I recently needed a screen for my IBM X20 laptop which was acting up. I called around and found that the cheapest place in San Francisco selling a replacement LCD for my X20 was around $250. I found more than one X20 LCD for sale on eBay for less than $100. Plus, there were all of the cables and other items that could possibly have failed. Obviously, you have to know what you are doing, but my point is, this is a low production laptop that is nearly 10 years old.

This kind of thing is very common on eBay. You can find everything from e34 BMW mirrors to a snow blower. It is simply amazing what you can find there.

New Items for Sale

One of the biggest misunderstandings about eBay is that anything you buy on there is used equipment. That is simply not true. Once I have decided to buy something, I always try to check and see if there is a new one for sale on eBay. Usually, I find whatever it is I am looking for. You can bet that anything electronic can be found unused on eBay any day of the week.

You will need what is called a Twin WAN router. There are many twin wan routers on the market, but some of the best currently on the market are made by Cisco and Xincom. We are all familiar with Cisco and their products really don’t need much review or explanation, if you can afford them, you should buy them. There is another company that has specialized in the production of these twin WAN routers that will not only allow for a seamless, redundant internet connection by using two broadband connections (ie: DSL, cable modem, T1, etc), but it will also allow you to aggregate these connections by using a download manager. If you don’t know what a download manager is, it is a piece of software that will help you to dowload large files more efficiently. I will not get into the technical reasons why it does that, but suffice it to say that in this case it can allow you to get a full aggregation of both of your internet lines. This is pretty cool. The best part is that the cheapest Xincom Twin WAN router is less than $100. The firmware on the router is top notch and allows for some pretty sophisticated configuation, network monitoring, and VPN setups. I have one on the way right now.

I picked up a couple of BMW Roundels for $22 delivered by using our shopping engine here. I don’t think I would have been able to buy half of a roundel for that kind of money if I made a trip down to the BMW dealer. I picked up some carbon fiber roundels that are a little more contemporary than the OEM roundels that are blue and white. But, I saw some blue and white roundels that were the same price as the carbon fiber ones that I picked up. I saw factory OEM roundels for $10. Now, I just hope that the teenagers who stole the originals one will leave the new roundels alone.

I admit it. I have a 2002 LeMond Maillot Jaune (Yellow Jersey in French) with a full Dura Ace Groupo, an original LeMond Cromor bike that is now a fixed gear bike, and I am looking at purchasing a third road bike right now. My Maillot Jaune is an aluminum framed bike which means that in addition to being light it is stiff. This can give your back and neck a workout on long rides and since I am not getting any younger, I figured that a carbon fiber bike like the Trek 5.9 Madone is a good fit. Yeah, they are super duper expensive ($5,500 MSRP), but if you check out the prices we have found, you can save almost 50% or more on bikes that are virtually brand new. I will keep you posted on my next bike as I have my sights set on one right now.

Take eBay as an example. I assume that just about every person I know has not only signed up for an ebay account, but has probably bought and sold multiple items on eBay by now. But, of course I am very wrong. The fact is, most people I know have not purchased anything on eBay and they don’t even have an eBay account yet. eBay is the first place I check if I am in the market for just about anything. Most items that you want to buy can be found brand new in a box on eBay for significantly less than you will be able to find it for sale anywhere else. Most of the sellers that offer these items for sale have conducted hundreds if not thousands of trasactions and auctions on eBay so, you can bid with confidence. It is also a great place to do market research to see how much to sell a particular item for. If you can sell it for more than you can get for it on eBay, you are likely selling it above “market value.” All in all, eBay is a pretty amazing place. It not only is a great place to find deals on items, but it can also be a great source of revenue. You can sell all of that junk that you have in your closets and garage that you thought you should hold on to. Chances are, there is someone else out there that is looking for that specific item that you have no need for…and they are willing to pay you money for it. So, sign up for eBay, it is free, and open your eyes to the biggest online marketplace around.
