Been A Long Time
Wow, I just realized that it has been over a month since anyone has posted to this blog and that is a serious shame. I guess we have been super busy these days with other projects. That is not to take anything away from Zawow and its powerful shopping capabilities of course. One of the things that a lot of people have been asking about is eBay registration. It is funny, I guess I take it for granted that most people still do not have an eBay account or even know what eBay is all about. What it is about is great deals on just about any new product you want and it is also about finding just about anything you are looking for.
Obscure Products
One of the best things about eBay is that you can find just about anything for sale. I recently needed a screen for my IBM X20 laptop which was acting up. I called around and found that the cheapest place in San Francisco selling a replacement LCD for my X20 was around $250. I found more than one X20 LCD for sale on eBay for less than $100. Plus, there were all of the cables and other items that could possibly have failed. Obviously, you have to know what you are doing, but my point is, this is a low production laptop that is nearly 10 years old.
This kind of thing is very common on eBay. You can find everything from e34 BMW mirrors to a snow blower. It is simply amazing what you can find there.
New Items for Sale
One of the biggest misunderstandings about eBay is that anything you buy on there is used equipment. That is simply not true. Once I have decided to buy something, I always try to check and see if there is a new one for sale on eBay. Usually, I find whatever it is I am looking for. You can bet that anything electronic can be found unused on eBay any day of the week.
