Sherrie Peif, (Bio) speif@greeleytrib.com January 24, 2006 Print Email Free throw contest: In an effort to promote community involvement with high school athletics, Ehrlich Toyota is sponsoring a free-throw contest that could net residents a 2006 Toyota Corolla. Between now and the end of the high school basketball season, anyone who attends a varsity basketball game at Greeley West, Greeley Central or Northridge could drive home in a new car. Participants may register at Ehrlich Toyota Monday-Saturday or before the game. Four people will be randomly drawn at the beginning of the game and enter a shoot-off. The person winning the shoot-off will then attempt a 1/2-court shot for the car at half-time. There is a one-in-20 chance of winning. "There is More pressure to succeed and More obstacles than ever before," Scott Ehrlich said. "Students who participate in high school activities excel because they are supported by peers, parents and the community." John Motschall, general manager of the dealership agreed, adding he hopes this will inspire the community to support all high school activities not just varsity basketball.
