January 22, 2006 Pocono Mountain Regional Police reported the following incidents: Police stopped a black Subaru Outback at Route 940 and Long Pond Road in Tobyhanna Township. While talking to the driver, police noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car. Officers did a vehicle search and found a half ounce of marijuana and a pipe. The juvenile driver Was arrested and later released. Charges were filed in Judge Claypool's court in Pocono Pines. Police stopped a Chevrolet Cavalier on Laurel Drive for running a stop sign. In checking the registration, it Was found that the plate had been reported as lost and belonged on a Dodge. A check on the vehicle identification number showed that it had been reported as stolen on Jan. 4 by police in Wharton, N.J. When information Was confirmed, the operator, Tyler Gaylets, 20, of Tobyhanna Was arrested and arraigned before Judge Krawitz on charges of receiving stolen property, theft of property lost, mislaid, or delivered by mistake and running a stop sign.
